Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of siteryn.com and your purchase and use of Siteryn plugins, themes, licenses, updates and support. By creating an account, making a purchase or using our products, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting them on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Return Policy, which form part of these Terms.

1. About us

Siteryn (“Siteryn”, “we”, “us” or “our”) develops WordPress and WooCommerce plugins and themes for online stores worldwide. You can contact us at hello@siteryn.com.

Our products are designed for businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy from us.

2. Your account

  • Provide accurate and complete information, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and license keys confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at hello@siteryn.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • One account may be used by one person or one organisation. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred without our written consent.

3. Software license

The PHP code of our plugins and themes is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL-2.0-or-later), the same license as WordPress. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights the GPL gives you over that code.

Your purchase is for a subscription to our services for the products you buy: access to the Pro downloads, automatic updates, license activation and premium support for the number of websites in your plan, for as long as your license is active.

Some files, such as images, icons and fonts, may be provided under their own licenses, which are included with the product. The Siteryn name, logo and branding are not licensed to you under the GPL, and you may not use them to identify your own products or services.

4. License keys and site activations

  • Each license can be activated on the number of websites included in your plan (for example 1, 3 or 10 sites).
  • Every website on which you activate the license counts toward that limit, including development and staging sites. Re-activating a site that is already activated does not use another slot.
  • You can deactivate a site at any time — from the product’s license screen in WordPress or from your account — to free the slot for another website.
  • License keys are personal to you. You may not share, publish, sell or sublicense them, or use them for websites you do not own or manage for a client.
  • We may limit or suspend a license that shows signs of abuse, such as an unusual number of activations or use of a leaked key, and will contact you where possible.

5. Prices, payments and taxes

  • Prices are shown on our website in US dollars unless stated otherwise. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout when you place your order.
  • Applicable taxes, such as VAT, GST or sales tax, are calculated at checkout based on your location and the information you provide.
  • Payments are processed by our payment providers — Stripe, PayPal and Paddle. Where Paddle processes your order, Paddle is the reseller and merchant of record, and Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to that purchase.
  • If a price on our website is clearly wrong, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full.
  • We may change our prices. A change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a new price applies to your renewal.

6. Subscriptions and automatic renewal

  • Our plans are billed yearly. Unless you turn off automatic renewal, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your payment method for the next period.
  • We send a reminder email before your renewal date.
  • You can turn off automatic renewal or cancel at any time from your account. Your license stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then expires. Cancelling stops future charges; it is not a refund of the current period — see our Return Policy.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we will let you know so that you can update your payment method. If payment is not completed, your subscription may be cancelled and your license will expire.

7. When a license expires or is cancelled

When your license expires, is cancelled or is refunded:

  • automatic updates, new downloads and premium support stop;
  • the Pro features of the product are switched off on your websites (the free version keeps working); and
  • your settings are kept, so everything works again as soon as you renew or buy a new license.

8. Refunds

The first purchase of a license can be refunded within 14 days, provided it has not been used beyond a reasonable evaluation on a live website. Renewal payments are not refunded. The full conditions, and how to request a refund, are described in our Return & Refund Policy. If a refund is issued, the license from that purchase is deactivated.

9. Support

An active license includes premium support through our support ticket system. We aim to reply within one business day.

Support covers help with installing, configuring and using our products, and fixing bugs in our code. It does not include custom development, customisations to your theme or other plugins, server or hosting problems, or problems caused by third-party products — although we will always try to point you in the right direction.

10. Updates, compatibility and changes to products

  • We release updates to fix bugs, improve security and stay compatible with current versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP. Each product lists its minimum and tested versions.
  • Always keep a backup of your website and test updates on a staging site before updating a live store.
  • We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue a product, we will give reasonable notice; licenses already paid for remain valid until they expire, and the product keeps working.

11. Free versions

Free versions of our products are provided free of charge and “as is”, with community-level help where available. Premium support and the guarantees in these Terms apply to paid licenses.

12. AI features

Some of our products offer optional AI features. They use the AI provider and API key that you configure, under that provider’s terms and pricing. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete: you are responsible for reviewing it before publishing it, and for using AI features in line with the laws that apply to your store and your customers.

The chat assistant on our website provides general information only and does not change these Terms or create any commitment on our behalf.

13. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use our products or services for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone’s rights;
  • circumvent, disable or interfere with our licensing, update or download systems, or access downloads or updates you are not entitled to;
  • attack, overload, scrape or probe our website or services, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system;
  • misuse our support, contact or chat channels, including sending spam or abusive messages; or
  • file a chargeback for a purchase without first giving us the chance to resolve the problem.

14. Affiliate program

Participation in our affiliate program is subject to its own terms, which you accept when you join.

15. Intellectual property and feedback

Except for the code licensed to you under the GPL, the Siteryn website, brand, logos, design, text, documentation and other content are owned by Siteryn or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feature requests, we may use them without any obligation to you.

16. Third-party services

Our products may work with third-party services, such as WooCommerce, payment gateways or AI providers. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, changes or charges.

17. Disclaimer

We work hard to make our products reliable, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement — and we do not guarantee that our products will be error-free, uninterrupted or compatible with every theme, plugin or hosting environment.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Siteryn will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, our products or services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to our products or services is limited to the amount you paid us for the product concerned in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Siteryn against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our products or services.

20. Suspension and termination

You may stop using our services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or licenses if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, use our services fraudulently, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.

Sections that by their nature should continue — such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive termination.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Siteryn is registered, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows it.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at hello@siteryn.com — most problems can be resolved quickly and informally.
